Zoom around de West, a long-distance row, in support of the Bermuda Zoological Society!
**Participants must register for Zoom Around the Sound separately after securing their seat on Teamer (limited to 21-24 people)

Jemmy Darrell Service & Race
Descendants of James Darrell gather at St Peter’s churchyard to honour a sailor and pilot whose navigational skills and seamanship won the the plaudits of the Royal Navy — and his own freedom from slavery — more than 200 years ago.
Mr Darrell, who was born in 1749, subsequently became the first Black man to own property in Bermuda and went on to advocate for human rights at a time when slavery had a stranglehold throughout much of the world.

Blessing of the Boats
This annual event includes a procession of vessels from St George’s Harbour to the Chapel of Ease dock in St David’s, where each seaman has the opportunity to receive a personal blessing from the Bishop.

The Guild of the Holy Compassion typically invites the BPGC to participate in the commemoration service of those lost at sea.

This fun competition is our way of honouring the Emancipation Day & Mary Prince Day holidays. We follow the game each year to determine the host location.
